Chappelle won his first Emmy Award in 2017 for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his appearance on "SNL". The hosting gig comes just days after Netflix announced the " Chappelle's Show " would be available on their streaming service. The streaming giant announced on Friday (Oct. 30) that the popular sketch comedy series will be available to stream starting Nov. 1. In their announcement, Netflix included a video clip of some of the show's most popular moments, including the comedian's skits of him dressed as Prince, Rick James and Lil Jon. The 46th season of "SNL" has so far included hosting and musical appearances from Chris Rock, Megan Thee Stallion, Bill Burr, Jack White, Issa Rae, Justin Bieber, Adele, H. E. R., John Mulaney and the Strokes.

He's back. Dave Chappelle is set to host next week's episode of " Saturday Night Live. " The comedian will take the stage on Saturday (Nov. 7), on what will be the sixth episode of the season and the first show following the presidential election happening on Tuesday (Nov. 3). The late-night sketch comedy series announced the news after Saturday's show that they booked Chappelle and that he will be back as the host on Sunday (Nov. 1). No musical guest has been announced as of yet. This will be the comedian's second time hosting the show. It is also the first time he returns to the long-running NBC show since making his debut the weekend that Donald Trump became President in November 2016. During that show, Chappelle took the high road and wished the former reality star well in his then-new role as president during his monologue. "I'm wishing Donald Trump luck. I'm going to give him a chance, and we, the historically disenfranchised, demand that he give us one too, " he said at the time.
