Non male il risultato di riuscire a trasformare il personaggio creato da Atkinson, ovvero Bean, in un film, partendo dalle celebri gag comiche/demenziali. Il film inizia con Bean che "lavora" svogliatamente in un museo, come guardia. Viene mandato in America a presentare un quadro famosissimo come esperto d'arte dai suoi superiori, per avere un vero pretesto per poterlo licenziare. Arrivato in suolo statunitense inizieranno i veri prattutto con la distruzione della famosa tela (rimediata miracolosamente da lui stesso, con un piano alla "Mission Impossible"). Creado por Jorge Benavides, 'La paisana Jacinta' es un personaje nacido en el programa cómico de televisión homónimo de Perú, transmitido entre 1999 y 2002, y retomado como un sketch en el programa 'El wasap de JB' en 2014. De un modo similar al personaje de la India María (María Elena Velasco) en México, el de Jacinta se construye alrededor de los estereotipos de los pueblos indígenas andinos, y 'La Paisana Jacinta': en búsqueda de Wasaberto' no hace mucho por cambiar esa percepción del personaje. Por ello, debe ser vista como lo que es, una historia protagonizada como personaje satírico que en su momento fue popular, y cuyos estereotipos pueden cuestionarse a la distancia del tiempo. Nathaniel (Trace Adkins) es un sufrido granjero que una buena mañana es encontrado por aquél al que un día hizo perder un ojo de un disparo (¿es esto posible sin matar a la persona? En los westerns canadienses parece que sí). Esta situación da como resultado la vuelta de nuestro protagonista a la banda de forajidos a la que un día perteneció (podría haber resultado cualquier otra cosa, pero esta en concreto les parecía chula a los guionistas).
