It's based on a novel, and does a brilliant job of adapting a classic into a story even one such as my husband who might read a comic and wouldn't look once at a classic can enjoy. Anyone with practical experience with boats and ships in the rough weather depicted would expect pitching fore and aft as well, and violent crashes from bashing into waves, creating a corkscrewing roll that contributes so much to seasickness.
